Dez Bryant reportedly feeling ‘discomfort’ in foot
Dez Bryant will not play against the New York Giants Sunday, and his absence may be more than just a precaution.
According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, Bryant felt some “discomfort” in his surgically repaired foot last week and the Dallas Cowboys want to make sure the bone is fully healed before he returns.
Recent reports about Bryant’s recovery have been mostly optimistic, with Cowboys coach Jason Garrett saying earlier this week that Dez had been running and cutting at full speed during practice. Bryant had been eyeing Sunday’s game against the Giants as a potential return date, but there is obviously some feeling that he needs additional time to recover.
It initially seemed as though Bryant could miss up to 12 weeks with the foot injury, but he made it clear with this tweet that he does not intend to be out that long. Cowboys fans should be somewhat concerned if Bryant doesn’t return in Week 8.
