CeeDee Lamb is hoping to carry on the legacy of great wide receivers wearing No. 88 with the Dallas Cowboys, and many have wondered how Dez Bryant will feel about that. We now have our answer.
After word surfaced on Thursday that Lamb will wear No. 88 with the Cowboys, a fan on Twitter asked Bryant how he feels about a rookie wearing his old number. Bryant responded with a message of support for Lamb.

Bryant was in a similar situation to Lamb when the Cowboys drafted him back in 2010, as Dez wore No. 88 after Hall of Famer Michael Irvin. While his tenure in Dallas ended in disappointing fashion, Bryant lived up to the hype for many seasons.
Bryant has campaigned for the Cowboys to bring him back, and he would probably have no issue wearing a new jersey number for another chance to play in the NFL. Though, considering how Lamb came to wear No. 88 in the first place, it’s possible he could be persuaded to give it up.
