Seahawks make decision on DK Metcalf for Week 9
The Seattle Seahawks had hoped wide receiver DK Metcalf avoided a major injury in Week 7, but the wide receiver is now poised to miss his second consecutive game.
The Seahawks on Friday ruled Metcalf out for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. Metcalf is still dealing with an MCL sprain, and coach Mike Macdonald said the wide receiver simply “needs more time” to heal.
DK Metcalf “just needs more time,” Mike Macdonald says. Mike expects DK back after bye but that’s obviously still TBD.
Noah Fant injured his groin in practice and also needs more time, Mike says.
Ernest Jones’ neck stiffened up and he’s day to day.

The Seahawks have a Week 10 bye and appear hopeful of having Metcalf back for Week 11.
Metcalf was considered week-to-week after initially suffering the injury, but the Seahawks were initially optimistic he would not miss time. That outlook was too rosy, as the wide receiver will now miss two games due to the issue.
Metcalf has suited up for seven games this season, tallying 35 catches for 568 yards and three touchdowns.
