Dolphins consider Ryan Tannehill day-to-day
The Miami Dolphins were without quarterback Ryan Tannehill on Sunday, but coach Adam Gase is hoping that his absence proves brief.
Gase said Monday that, for now, Tannehill is considered day-to-day and will likely return in 2018, though the team is waiting to see him throw before making any major announcements.
#Dolphins coach Adam Gase told reporters QB Ryan Tannehill is day-to-day but won’t know for sure until Tannehill throws. Gase expressed confidence that Tannehill will play and start again in 2018.

Tannehill has a shoulder injury, and the Dolphins haven’t really gone into much detail about it. Their optimism about an impending return seems guarded, as reports indicated he was pretty beat up when it became clear he wouldn’t go on Sunday.
