Dolphins fan lost part of toe in freak Hard Rock Stadium accident

A Miami Dolphins fan suffered a freak injury while he was at Hard Rock Stadium to cheer on his team during last week’s game against the Oakland Raiders, and he is considering taking legal action.

Jean Michaud told TMZ he was hanging out waiting for a drink at a stadium bar when a heavy piece of marble slab fell off the bar and landed on his foot. Michaud said the slab fractured his toe and he had to undergo emergency surgery, and it has “been a nightmare ever since.”

“I was wearing a shoe,” Michaud explained. “At first I thought it wasn’t as bad, but as soon as I took the shoe off I had some severe bleeding. The top corner of my toe was fractured and starting to separate from the rest of the toe.”

Michaud said he had to have a portion of his toe amputated and spent a night in the hospital.

The accident occurred at the LIV nightclub that is inside Hard Rock Stadium, and Michaud said he has hired an attorney and contacted both the Dolphins and LIV.

We’ve seen some unfortunate accidents at sporting events in the past, but what happened to Michaud is easily among the most bizarre. It’s no surprise he is considering legal options.
