Double murder survivor says he saw shooter’s face and it was Aaron Hernandez

Aaron HernandezAs Aaron Hernandez remains locked up at the Bristol County House of Corrections awaiting trial for the murder of Odin Lloyd, investigators have continued to fish for details surrounding a double homicide that took place in Boston in 2012. With the way the case has reportedly developed, prosecutors may wind up having a stronger case against Hernandez in that shooting than they do with the Lloyd murder.

On Tuesday morning, Mike Beaudet of FOX 25 in Boston told 98.5 The Sports Hub’s “Toucher and Rich” that a survivor who claims to have been in the car that was shot at during the 2012 double murder has come forward. The survivor has reportedly told police that he saw the shooter’s face and that the shooter was Hernandez.

An interview with the survivor is set to air on FOX 25 at 10 p.m. EST on Tuesday.

Should it be determined that the alleged survivor is indeed telling the truth and was in the vehicle at the time of the shooting, this would obviously be a major development. Investigators have already reportedly seized surveillance footage from a nightclub that shows Hernandez with the two victims just hours before they were killed. The gun used in the drive-by shooting was also reportedly found inside a woman’s car who is from Hernandez’s hometown of Bristol, Conn.

At the time of the shooting in 2012, police announced they were seeking information about a gray SUV with Rhode Island license plates. In June, a silver Toyota SUV with Rhode Island plates was towed from Hernandez’s uncle’s home in Bristol.

It will be interesting to hear what the alleged survivor has to say about the incident, but it seems obvious that Hernandez’s lawyers will inevitably have plenty to worry about aside from the Lloyd murder.
