The Jacksonville Jaguars delivered a surprisingly dominant performance against the Houston Texans on Sunday, but it still may not enter into coach Doug Marrone’s brand of fantasies.
After the team’s defense collected ten sacks and four turnovers against Houston, Marrone was asked if he could have envisioned such a performance in his wildest dreams — and the reporter who asked the question likely got more than they bargained for.
“I don’t know if I dream in my wildest dreams,” Marrone said, via Gene Frenette of Jacksonville.com. “Most of the time, I’m thinking about my wife in my wildest dreams.”
Good answer, coach. Though perhaps a game like that shows up in more dreams than he’d admit. The team’s new identity might just be playing on his mind for a while.
