The New Orleans Saints are 3-1, have won two in a row with Teddy Bridgewater at quarterback, and don’t look now, but Drew Brees may be back soon.
Brees posted three video clips on Instagram Saturday showing himself throwing as he works his way back from thumb surgery. He looked really good, too.
Brees suffered a thumb injury in the first quarter of a Week 2 loss to the Rams on September 15. He underwent surgery and was expected to miss six weeks. It’s only been three so far and he’s already throwing. He might be back sooner than that, based on the progress he appears to be making.
During a radio interview with WWL in the week, Brees said he had just been able to start eating with his right hand and brush his teeth. And now he’s already throwing? Who is he??
