Eagles lose two starting offensive tackles to injury in Week 8
The Philadelphia Eagles suffered some significant losses early in their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, as two starting offensive linemen were forced to leave with injuries.
Former first-round pick Lane Johnson was carted off in the first quarter with a knee injury. Then in the second quarter, nine-time Pro Bowler Jason Peters also left the game after he suffered a head injury. The Eagles announced that both players were questionable to return.
The Jaguars sacked Carson Wentz twice and hit him six times in the first half. They also forced a Wentz fumble and had an interception, so the loss of Johnson and Peters appeared to be a factor.
Peters is already playing through a significant injury this season, and Johnson has been banged up as well. Both players have been dependable starters in Philly for several seasons.
