Taylor reported that Mia Bieniemy was shot in the chest and arm, and is hospitalized in stable condition.
Eric Bieniemy was not at home at the time of the incident, as he was at Kansas City Chiefs camp in Missouri. He has been allowed to leave camp and return home.
Police said the shooting took place on Sunday night, and that an individual, now known to be Mia, was being treated for “serious injuries.” No further information has been released.
Bieniemy is just starting his second stint with the Chiefs, who welcomed him back in January to take over the offensive coordinator job left by Matt Nagy. He spent last season as running backs coach for the Chicago Bears, having previously served as offensive coordinator with both the Washington Commanders and UCLA.
