Eric Weddle already has his post-Super Bowl job lined up

Eric Weddle came out of retirement for a remarkable playoff run that culminated in a Super Bowl title. Now he has his post-NFL career lined up.

Weddle will take over as head coach at Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego starting in 2023, the school announced. Weddle will spend time around he program in 2022 as preparation for assuming the head coaching role following the season.

Weddle had not been doing all that much in his first retirement, though he had kept in shape. He already won’t be returning, but now he has even more reason to fully commit himself to retirement.

Beyond getting accustomed to his coaching job, Weddle will also have some other things to do as he eases his way back into retirement.
