Former Dallas Cowboys star Trevon Diggs is looking for a new home in the Midwest.
Several reporters confirmed that the All-Pro cornerback was given a tryout by the Detroit Lions. He was one of eight players who tried out for the NFC North squad on Sunday.
Diggs was the lone defensive back in the tryout, with the rest of the group consisting of quarterbacks, wide receivers, and linebackers.

If he makes the Lions’ roster, Diggs would be halfway through his tour of the NFC North.
The Green Bay Packers claimed Diggs off waivers last season after the Cowboys cut ties with the Pro Bowl defensive back in December. The Alabama alum had a messy exit from Dallas, with the Cowboys pulling a petty move on Diggs on his way out.
The 27-year-old enjoyed his best season with the Cowboys in 2021, leading the league with 11 interceptions and earning All-Pro honors. His career trajectory went sideways in 2023 when he suffered a torn ACL in practice just two games into the season. He later sustained another knee injury on the same leg that prematurely ended his 2024 campaign.
Diggs looked a step slow last season as he worked his way back from injury. He failed to record an interception and tallied just 27 tackles across 9 regular-season games.
