Frank Reich says Andrew Luck is ‘real close’ to throwing football
NFL teams reported for mandatory minicamp this week, and we are roughly three months away from the start of another season. Yet, Andrew Luck still has not resumed throwing. According to his coach, the quarterback is getting close.
On Thursday, new Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich told reporters Luck is getting “real close” to throwing NFL-sized footballs.

It sounds as if Luck will ultimately determine when he will resume throwing, and he recently admitted he skipped some steps in his rehab from shoulder surgery last year and paid the price. He is intent on taking it slow this time, though fans are understandably nervous with training camp right around the corner.
The Colts want Luck to be ready to practice without restrictions when training camp begins, and some recent comments Reich made indicate they are on track for that to happen.
