Garrett Wilson recently made waves on social media for his take on the New York Jets’ offense.

On Tuesday, Wilson appeared on the “Bart & Hahn” show to discuss the Jets’ Week 4 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Amid the Jets’ up-and-down start to 2024, host Bart Scott asked Wilson if he felt the team has struggled with figuring out its identity. Scott said that he felt like perhaps the Jets have “tried a lot of different stuff.”

Wilson didn’t agree. But he also hinted that the plays the Jets have run for him this season haven’t been as complex as they had been in the past.

“I don’t think we do a lot of different stuff, to be honest,” answered Wilson. “When I watch football on Sundays, I see a lot of teams mix it up and stuff like that. I don’t feel like we do that. I think we know our identity. It’s just about going out and executing it or figuring whether or not it’s going to work. I don’t think we’re trying a lot of different things.

“I know, personally, my route tree hasn’t been what it has been the last two years as far as the stuff I’ve been running. It’s just about figuring out if it’s the right identity and whether it’s going to win games.”

With Aaron Rodgers finally healthy, many felt Wilson was primed to take the leap and become one of the NFL’s best receivers.

But through four games, Wilson has yet to live up to those lofty expectations. The Jets wideout has yet to surpass 60 receiving yards in a single game and has just a single touchdown thus far.

The Jets are also dealing with a major issue off the field that doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon.
