The New York Giants are bringing in more than just Shedeur Sanders from the quarterback position for a last-minute pre-draft visit.
In addition to Sanders, the Giants are bringing in Alabama’s Jalen Milroe and Louisville’s Tyler Shough for visits prior to the NFL Draft, according to Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com. The team has also privately worked out Jaxson Dart at Ole Miss’ campus.
The Giants are keeping the rest of the league guessing on the quarterback front. Their late decision to bring Sanders in for a workout led to a lot of questions about what it could mean for their options at No. 3 overall. Bringing in Milroe and Shough, two players who will not be in the frame at that pick, once again makes it clear that it is far from a guarantee that the Giants will go quarterback with that selection.

Milroe and Shough both profile as late first-round picks at best. The Giants might be hoping one of them falls into the second round, where they would presumably be interested if they do not take Sanders at No. 3.
Milroe might be particularly challenging, as he is attracting significant interest. There has been some growing buzz around Shough’s draft status as well.
The Giants already signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston this offseason. While both could be stopgap options, neither is a long-term quarterback solution. Sanders might be, but opinions are very divided on his NFL potential. Milroe or Shough might not have the upside, but they would not require the Giants to use a top-3 selection, either.
