Do the Giants have Daniel Jones as their top QB on the draft board?

Daniel Jones

The New York Giants are key to the way the 2019 NFL Draft unfolds, leaving many wondering what direction they plan to go with the No. 6 overall pick.

The G-Men have pledged their allegiance to Eli Manning, but is that just a smoke screen? Are they planning to take a quarterback with one of their two first-round picks? On Thursday, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport said many believe the Giants will go QB with the sixth overall pick.

If they do draft a quarterback, are they looking at Dwayne Haskins, Drew Lock, or maybe Daniel Jones, assuming Kyler Murray is taken No. 1 overall? Well, a tweet from Yahoo’s Charles Robinson on Friday sparked a frenzy online when he implied the Giants have Jones atop their quarterback draft rankings.

If that’s the case, they might be tempted to take the Duke quarterback at No. 6 overall and do something different with the No. 17 pick. The thought of the Giants taking Jones early would mesh with the report that Haskins might be falling in the draft. Of course, the Oakland Raiders are picking at No. 4 and could go quarterback there and throw things off, or they could wait until later in the draft to take one.

How does Jones stack up against the other QBs? Here is our ranking of the top 10 2019 quarterback draft prospects.
