With NFL free agency underway, the trade market has been picking up steam as well. Jacksonville Jaguars star wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. saw his name thrown around in trade rumors before the start of free agency.
However, Jaguars general manager James Gladstone quickly shut down those rumblings with a firm statement, even saying the Jaguars have not gotten an offer as of Thursday.
Gladstone on other teams interest in BTJ:

"We haven't gotten an offer for him and there hasn't been a lot of dialogue on that front.
"We have no interest in disrupting the momentum [of the offense from the end of last year]. We look forward to continue to build… Know that…
It was previously reported that the Jaguars would consider a strong trade offer for Thomas, although they weren’t shopping him.
Gladstone even said those were “fraudulent claims” about a potential Thomas trade.
Jaguars GM James Gladstone said any reports that WR Brian Thomas Jr. was being shopped were "fraudulent claims." Jags never got an offer from any team for Thomas and Thomas remains a big part of the offense going forward.

Then, a report surfaced at the start of free agency that the Jaguars were “entertaining” offers for Thomas.
Thomas was selected by the Jaguars at No. 23 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he caught 87 passes for 1,282 yards with 10 touchdowns, but he took a big step back in 2025.
This past season, Thomas caught 48 passes for 707 yards with two scores, but he is still a top option in the offense led by quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
The Jacksonville offense already took a hit with running back Travis Etienne signing a $52 million deal with the New Orleans Saints, so losing Thomas would be another huge loss.
