Jalen Hurts appeared to have profane message for trash-talking Chiefs star

Jalen Hurts and Chris Jones talking trash during an Eagles-Chiefs game

Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles got the last laugh Sunday during their Super Bowl rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Eagles quarterback seemed to have an exchange with Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones as the Week 2 contest was coming to an end at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo. The Eagles, leading 20-17, just needed to run out the clock with 1st-and-10 at the Chiefs’ 30.

Before the penultimate snap of the game, Jones appeared to mock Hurts for his low passing yards total. The trash talk drew a profane response from Philly’s side that sounded like it came from the reigning Super Bowl MVP (profanity edited by LBS).

Jones: “You didn’t even have 100 yards.”

Hurts: “We won the f—ing game. Shut your a– up.”

Jones was wrong about Hurts’ passing tally, but just barely. Hurts went 15/22 in the contest for 101 passing yards. He also rushed for 15 yards and a touchdown on 9 carries.

Through the first two weeks of the 2025 campaign, Hurts has yet to record a passing touchdown. He went 19/23 for 152 yards in the Eagles’ Week 1 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

However, the most important statistic for Hurts and the Eagles fan base is that the defending champs have started the season with two wins. The Chiefs, on the other hand, have gone 0-2 despite playing their first two contests in Kansas City.

Jones and the rest of the Chiefs’ defense may have also been feeling more than a little salty, given that the Eagles got away with a few blatant penalties while running their infamous tush push play.
