Jalen Ramsey sends great tweet about his contract situation
Jalen Ramsey has two more years remaining on his rookie contract, and the Pro Bowl cornerback told the media on Tuesday that the Jacksonville Jaguars have informed him he will not be getting an extension this offseason. When you see the tweet he sent, you might understand why.
Shorty after he spoke with reporters, Ramsey took a page out of Deion Sanders’ book when he said he’s going to ask the Jaguars for so much money they’ll have to put him on layaway.

After Sanders was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons with the No. 5 overall pick in 1989, he told the media he was afraid the Detroit Lions were going to take him. He said if they did, well, have a listen…
Ramsey is obviously going to want to be the highest-paid cornerback in football, and you can understand why. However, he really doesn’t have much leverage with two years remaining on his rookie deal. Jaguars executive vice president of football operations Tom Coughlin appeared to call Ramsey out for missing voluntary workouts earlier this offseason, but we can expect him to continue to do that as long as he is playing under his current contract.
