The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a tough road game to play on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, and it could get even tougher if Jameis Winston is forced to sit with a shoulder injury.

Winston, who hurt his shoulder in a Week 6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, has been practicing on a limited basis this week. He was expected to get some throwing in on Thursday, but the quarterback would not rule out missing Sunday’s game while speaking with reporters.

#Bucs Jameis Winston: "…it’s just the pain, that’s all. This is a long season. That’s the biggest thing. It’s a long season.

— Rick Stroud (@NFLSTROUD) October 19, 2017

Hard to know what will determine whether Jameis Winston plays Sunday, but he mentioned 'it's a long season.' They will be VERY careful.

Winston also said he will be “ready” when doctors determine it is time to let him go, but the Bucs obviously don’t want him playing through pain for the remainder of the season. While he reportedly got good news after having an X-ray earlier in the week, the team has to think long-term.
