Jason Pierre-Paul planning to do PSAs about dangers of fireworks
Jason Pierre-Paul will never be the same after his mishap with fireworks last year, and he is hoping his horrific experience will help prevent others from making the same mistake.
Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily news reports that Pierre-Paul is planning to film some public service announcements about the dangers of fireworks in the weeks leading up to the 4th of July. Since opening up about the accident that cost him a good portion of his right hand, JPP has said on numerous occasions that fireworks are dangerous and children should not be handling them.
Pierre-Paul said he will be avoiding the 4th of July this year. That doesn’t mean he’s ignoring it. Back in April, JPP opened up about his fireworks mishap and shared some of the shocking details. The photos of his mangled hand should be enough nightmare fuel to inspire people to be more careful, but it will be beneficial for kids to see a star NFL player telling them to use their heads.
