Report: Jerick McKinnon gets good news after MRI
An injury scare involving San Francisco 49ers running back Jerick McKinnon appears to be little more than that.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, MRI results on McKinnon’s right knee came back clear after an injury in Sunday’s practice, and the running back suffered only a muscle strain.
MRI on Jerick McKinnon’s knee was what 49ers hoped: per source, “good and just a muscle strain.” https://t.co/XZmdcmFeQH

While there is no indication as to how long McKinnon will be absent, it doesn’t sound like a long-term injury, particularly nothing that will threaten his availability for Week 1. If healthy, he’s expected to get plenty of carries and be a key part of the revamped San Francisco offense under Kyle Shanahan.
