Jerry Jones was not quite as vocal as usual following the Dallas Cowboys’ game on Sunday, though he did express his disappointment over the outcome.
The Cowboys had a chance to clinch the NFC East with a win over the Philadelphia Eagles, but they fell short in a 17-9 loss. The team owner said after the game that he was “disappointed” about losing, especially to a team that has so many injuries.
#Cowboys owner Jerry Jones: “When you get yourself technically in a spot to come in to a Philadelphia team that has the players they got even though they have been missing a lot of them, you give yourself a chance to be real disappointed. We are.”

Jones said he was disappointed about the inability to make plays.
I asked Jerry Jones what disappointed him most: “I thought we could up here and play a better game than we played. I thought right up until the very end we could come in and make some plays and get it done.” That was the only question he took.

The Cowboys were held to nine points, which matched their season-low total. Tony Pollard had a key fumble. The team did not convert on some critical late-game situations, and Jason Garrett decided not to go for it on a few plays late either, such as a 4th-and-1 where he punted and 4th-and-4 where he kicked a field goal.
The last time Dallas was held to nine points, Jones went off on his coaches, hoping it would spark the team. The opposite happened. Now the Cowboys need to win next week and hope Philly loses in order to make the playoffs.
