Jets WR Malachi Corley idiotically costs team TD by dropping ball before end zone
Malachi Corley has etched his name into the Hall of Shame along with Leon Lett, DeSean Jackson, Kaelin Clay, and others.
The New York Jets receiver Corley moronically cost his team a touchdown in the second quarter of Thursday’s game against the Houston Texans. Corley found daylight on a designed run in the red zone and waltzed into the end zone virtually untouched. The only problem? Corley dropped the football before crossing the plane!
Here is the unreal video.

Take a look at another angle of Corley’s premature drop.

The Jets were not awarded the touchdown as a result of Corley dropping the ball, and because the ball ultimately bounced out of bounds in the end zone, it was ruled a touchback and the Texans took over from their own 20.
Dropping the ball early to celebrate (and thereby costing your team a sure touchdown) is about as bad of a blunder as it gets. But unfortunately, this is just par for the course for the Jets, who have been a biblical disaster so far this year. As a team with Super Bowl hopes before the season, they entered play on Thursday just 2-6, and the comedy of errors only seems to grow with each ensuing week.
