Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt suffered a broken hand during practice Wednesday, but he will still play against the New England Patriots Sunday night.

Watt told reporters on Thursday that he does not expect the injury to affect him at all.

J.J. Watt: 'I broke my hand in practice yesterday and will play in the game Sunday. Football is a game where things happen.'

J.J. Watt: 'I expect to play fully.' Said he doesn't expect the broken hand to affect his game at all.

J.J. Watt, asked if he thinks people will target broken hand: 'Let them try, come at it." Says he'll capitalize on anything they try to do.

While he did not have much success against the Buffalo Bills last weekend thanks in part to an incredibly intense gameplan, Watt has been playing his best football of the season over the past several weeks. He probably won’t be catching anymore bonus touchdowns in the red zone, but he should still be able to have an effect on the game. JJ Watt with a broken hand is probably better than 75 percent of the defensive linemen in the NFL.
