John Elway confirms Vance Joseph will remain with Broncos in 2018
The Denver Broncos have decided that head coach Vance Joseph deserves another season to prove he is the right man for the job.
With rumors swirling that Joseph was on the hot seat, Broncos executive vice president of football operations John Elway confirmed that the head coach will return in 2018.
Vance and I had a great talk this morning about our plan to attack this offseason and get better as a team. We believe in Vance as our head coach. Together, we'll put in the work to improve in all areas and win in 2018.

Some changes are expected to be made to Denver’s staff, but John Elway has apparently determined that the team responded well to Joseph down the stretch. Several veteran players threw their support behind Joseph following Sunday’s 27-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Joseph went 5-11 in his first season with the Broncos. While the result was disappointing, it is very rare for a head coach to be fired after just one season in the NFL. Elway has to know that quarterback has been the biggest issue in Denver, and he’s the one who drafted Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch and Brock Osweiler. That position should be a priority for the Broncos this offseason.
