Report: Johnny Manziel showed up ‘disheveled and inebriated’ during week
Johnny Manziel’s behavior is allegedly even more out of control than previously thought.
Appearing on ESPN Radio Cleveland’s Browns postgame show Sunday, ESPN Cleveland reporter Tony Grossi stated that Manziel showed up at the Browns facility during the week “disheveled and inebriated” and was sent home by the team.
“I had heard that during the week that he showed up disheveled and inebriated and they sent him home,” Grossi said, via the Big Lead. “[Coach Mike Pettine] denied that that happened on Tuesday, but other people I’ve talked to said that it happened the next day, on Wednesday.”
Pettine was asked by Grossi about this during his postgame press conference and denied it was true.
Manziel has basically entered the Tyson Zone at this point, and it’s alarming that this story is actually believable. If there’s any truth to this allegation, Manziel really needs to get the help he needs. His Browns career is pretty much over amid rumors he turned up in Las Vegas over the weekend, and he keeps getting caught partying on video, too. Even if this particular story is a fabrication, it’s evident that Manziel will continue to put his whole career in danger unless he gets help.
