Report: Johnny Manziel has drug problem, has been banned from clubs
Johnny Manziel has been on the fast track to self-destruction since the 2015 NFL season ended, and he has reportedly been doing more than just drinking alcohol.
TMZ reports that Manziel has become “reckless with his drug problem recently” and has done things like snorting drugs in front of people he doesn’t know. People who are close to the former Cleveland Browns quarterback told TMZ they recently tried to confront Manziel about his issues. Not surprisingly, he did not take it well.
Here’s more:
“He’s in a horrible downward spiral,” one source very close to the QB tells TMZ Sports.
There have been multiple serious attempts to help Johnny — with one group of close friends recently sitting him down and “confronting” him about his situation. But, as one source put it, “He flipped out and would not hear it.”
His friends are desperately trying to get through to him but haven’t been successful — and they’re hoping this story will serve as a wake-up call.
In addition to Manziel’s friends being concerned that he “will die” if he continues down his current path, the 23-year-old has reportedly been banned from several nightclubs in Las Vegas in the wake of his recent fight.
“He’s too much of a risk,” a source told TMZ. “He’s a good guy, but he’s a f—ing mess.”
Photos that have surfaced of Manziel recently show him looking incredibly slim and unwell. If you read what Manziel’s father said about his son a few months ago and what a close friend tweeted about Manziel, you know the situation has become very serious.
