The Dallas Police Department has announced that Johnny Manziel will not face any charges stemming from the incident that took place between him and his ex-girlfriend over the weekend.

“The Dallas Police Department has conducted the appropriate investigative follow-up to the report forwarded to us by the Ft. Worth Police Department regarding an alleged incident involving Johnny Manziel,” DPD said in a statement. “Investigative efforts to date have not resulted in the filing of a criminal complaint and the incident is determined to be closed. No further statement is expected at this time.”

Fort Worth PD, however, is continuing its investigation.

Police were called to the home of Colleen Crowley early Saturday morning after reports of a domestic assault. When they arrived, Crowley was reportedly not cooperative and would not show officers the injuries she claims she sustained. She told police she was concerned about Manziel’s well-being, and a search party was sent out to locate the Browns quarterback.

The allegations Crowley made against Manziel are very disturbing, as she accused him of threatening to kill her and hitting her multiple times. You can read more details here.

Manziel has denied the allegations, saying that he is “completely stable” and is focusing on football. This is the second incident between Manziel and Crowley that led to police involvement in the past several months. You can see some footage from the first incident here.
