Malik Nabers officially signed his rookie contract with the New York Giants on Friday, and many fans believe it was a somber event for the star wide receiver.
The Giants took Nabers with the No. 6 overall pick in the draft. Since the moment the Giants selected Nabers, fans have noticed that the former LSU star does not exactly wear his emotions on his sleeve. Nabers barely showed any excitement when Giants general manager Joe Schoen called him on draft night.

There have been a couple of other moments over the last two weeks where Nabers’ lack of enthusiasm has made fans wonder if he even wants to be in New York. When Nabers signed his rookie deal on Friday, everyone made the same joke about how badly he wishes he were playing for another team.

The Giants may even be getting sick of the jokes. The person running the team’s X account appeared to hide many of the replies that referenced Nabers wanting out of New York.

Obviously, that is just Nabers’ personality. The 20-year-old later told reporters he was so emotional when he signed his contract that his hand was shaking.
