Report reveals extent of Jordan Love’s groin injury
Jordan Love exited the Green Bay Packers’ game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday with an injury, but it does not sound like he is in danger of missing an extended period of time.
Love was seen limping on a few different occasions during the Packers’ 30-27 win over the Jaguars at Everbank Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla. The quarterback left the game and was ruled out with a groin injury early in the second half.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported on Monday that Love underwent an MRI and was diagnosed with a groin strain. Love is considered day-to-day, and it sounds like he will have a chance to play against the Detroit Lions in Week 9.

No surprise. He’ll get better every day and do treatment and monitor throughout the week. pic.twitter.com/09qFrPMuDT

Love missed time earlier in the season with a sprained MCL, so there was initial speculation that his injury on Sunday may have had something to do with that. The groin injury sounds separate and not all that serious.
Love was 14/22 for 196 yards and an interception prior to exiting on Sunday. He had been playing well with 13 touchdowns in his previous four games since returning from his MCL injury.
