Josh Allen spoke with Bills owners about racist tweets
Josh Allen’s controversial Twitter history briefly became a huge problem for the quarterback before he was drafted seventh overall by the Buffalo Bills on Thursday, and that team wasn’t ignoring them either.
Bills general manager Brandon Beane admitted that the team did their fair share of questioning about the tweets, including owners Terry and Kim Pegula, who spoke to the former Wyoming quarterback.
Brandon Beane on Josh Allen’s tweets: “At first you see it, you’re like, ‘Whoa.’” Says Terry and Kim Pegula were involved in process. “We all spoke to Josh."

In the end, Allen’s tweets didn’t appear to hurt his draft stock much, if at all. He quite clearly convinced Bills ownership that they wouldn’t be a problem, though he’ll have to go before his new teammates too before he can truly put that behind him.
