Josh Gordon seemingly refutes failed drug test report

Josh Gordon appears to be denying a report from Monday that claims he failed yet another drug test recently.

Sources told Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports that Gordon failed an NFL-administered drug test in March after he tested positive for marijuana and dilute. Gordon seemingly refuted the report with a pair of tweets:

Smh..

Call me if u need a real story worth writing..

It’s worth noting that Garafolo was told the level of marijuana present in Gordon’s sample was below the allowable threshold of 35 nanograms per milliliter. However, the presence of dilute alone is enough to result in a fair test, as it indicates that there was an attempt to mask something in the urine.

Another failed drug test could be devstating to Gordon’s NFL career. The 24-year-old receiver had applied for reinstatement back in February, and there were indications that his chances of being allowed back into the league were looking good. One former teammate also made it seem like Gordon had turned his life around.

Gordon missed the entire 2015 NFL season after he tested positive for alcohol while in the NFL’s intervention program. Browns fans likely got their hopes up when they read this report a few months back, but another failed test would be a major setback.
