Josh Gordon close to reinstatement, Browns will welcome him back
Josh Gordon has done enough in the past several years to ruin his professional football career, but it sounds like he is going to be fortunate enough to get another chance.
On Thursday, Browns executive vice president of football operations Sashi Brown praised Gordon and said signs are pointing to the 24-year-old receiver being reinstated by the NFL. Brown also said that the team will welcome Gordon back.
Sashi: Josh Gordon is 'tremendously talented. He's accountable for his mistakes … We feel there's a spot on the roster for him. #Browns

Browns head coach Hue Jackson wasn’t as quick to commit to Gordon, saying earlier this week that he will evaluate if Gordon is the “right fit” like any other player.
Gordon missed the entire 2015 season after he was suspended indefinitely for failing another drug test, reportedly because he drank alcohol while he was still in the NFL’s intervention program. Gordon was being tested as part of the terms for his reinstatement from a previous 10-game suspension for pleading guilty to driving while impaired.
Gordon’s talent is undeniable. If healthy and focused, he is easily one of the best receivers in the NFL. Browns fans can only hope there was truth to this recent report about Gordon.
