Justin Fields trolled with surprising role in ‘Madden’ video game trailer
Justin Fields might not return kicks for the Pittsburgh Steelers this season, but we now know what it would look like if he did.
The first official trailer for the latest installment of the “Madden” video game series was released on Thursday. In the first several seconds, the Cleveland Browns are shown kicking off to the Pittsburgh Steelers with players lined up according to the radical new rules that have been implemented.
The kick returner? Justin Fields.
Madden has Justin Fields returning kickoffs 😅😅😅

Fields is shown in the gameplay fielding the kick and handing it off to Cordarelle Patterson on a reverse. Obviously, the developers of “Madden NFL 25” heard the talk earlier this offseason about Fields returning kicks for the Steelers and wanted to have some fun with it.
If you ask Fields, kick returning is not in his future. While he is a tremendous athlete, he would probably rather be taken seriously as a quarterback — even if he enters the season as a backup behind Russell Wilson.
Even if Fields does not end up returning a kick in 2024, you can bet there will be plenty of “Madden” users inserting him into that role.
