CB Kendall Fuller has funny reaction to being part of Alex Smith trade
Kendall Fuller turned out to be the player included in the trade that sends Alex Smith to Washington, and that came as news to him.
The Washington cornerback started with this response to Adam Schefter’s tweet that a third-round pick and unidentified player were being sent to Kansas City in exchange for Smith.
Awkward…

But wait … it gets better. ESPN’s Field Yates then reported that Fuller was included in the deal.
Fuller was in disbelief:
Nahh its not me.. I don’t thinkk

He even disputed that he had been traded:

Then when he realized he was part of the trade, Fuller was embarrassed.

The Chiefs are getting a really good player. Fuller had four interceptions during the regular season and was graded by Pro Football Focus as one of the best slot corners in the league.
When Kendall Fuller lined up in the slot, he allowed a passer rating of 55.0. That was the best for all slot cornerbacks last year. Steven Nelson and Phillip Gaines both allowed passer ratings above 100 when in the slot.
