Lamar Jackson’s thoughts on recruiting players in free agency goes viral
The new NFL league year has begun, which has resulted in plenty of roster movement in free agency and players being cut. Some players and teams are trying to woo free agents in an effort to convince them to join their team. That’s not something Lamar Jackson is cut out for.
New England Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon shared on Twitter this week how difficult it is to recruit players.
This recruiting stuff is hard work

Jackson not only agreed, but he shared how he’s had an even worse experience. He says that every time he gets involved, the player ends up going to a rival within the division.
Every time I done reached out they end up going to a divisional opponent soooo I let the front office handle their jobð€£ð€ https://t.co/0bOrip9ikN

The experience has led Jackson to give up on recruiting and instead just let the front office take care of it. That’s probably the best move.
Jackson might recruit a player when such an effort is needed. But the reality is, in most cases, what matters most to a free agency is which team will pay them the most. There’s not much Jackson can do about that since he doesn’t control Baltimore’s finances.
