Lane Johnson threatens to boycott media for rest of his career
Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson is extremely upset with the media about something, and he is contemplating not speaking with reporters for the remainder of his career because of it.
On Wednesday, Johnson blew by reporters and said he is “done talking for the year.” He refused to explain why, but he said the decision may be a permanent one.
This is bizarre. Lane Johnson just told reporters who approached him “I’m done talking for the year.” And as he walked away added “maybe for the rest of my career”. Anyone know what we did? #Eagles @6abc pic.twitter.com/sCiCZrkhl3

Longtime Eagles reporter Les Bowen, who covers the team for The Philadelphia News, speculated that Johnson could be upset over some things that were written after the Pro Bowler blasted the officiating crew in Monday night’s win over the Raiders for calling two holding penalties on him.
Just hazarding a guess, I'd say we're being blamed for remarks he made after the game about holding calls and Khalil Mack, and how he didn't care if he got fined. The ones that he told us to "put in the paper." How dare we actually do that! But it's Lane; he's not gonna stay mad. https://t.co/KJCSLeXvLn

Johnson ripped the officials for making “bulls—” calls and encouraged the media to print his quotes.
“I think (the holding calls) was ricky-tacky bulls—,” he said, via Jeff Kerr of 247 Sports. “You can put that in the papers.”
Johnson also took a shot at All-Pro defensive end Khalil Mack.
“Khalil Mack didn’t sniff the quarterback all night,” he said. “He’s supposed to be the best player in the league.”
Johnson is one of the best offensive tackles in football, which is why he was voted to the Pro Bowl this season and has neutralized some of the best pass-rushers in the NFL. He’s also one of the league’s most outspoken players, so chances are he’ll cool off eventually.
