Lindsey Duke and Blake Bortles are headed to Jacksonville
The first quarterback off the board in the NFL Draft was not Johnny Manziel nor was it Teddy Bridgewater. It was none other than Central Florida junior Blake Bortles, who really blossomed last season while leading the Knights to a 12-1 year including a bowl victory over Baylor.
Bortles completed 67.8 percent of his passes as a junior and threw for 25 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. Though Bortles is big at 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds, he can move and has decent speed. His size, look and skills have led many to compare him to Ben Roethlisberger.
With Justin Blackmon suspended indefinitely to start the season, they better give him a lot of support. This is not a good situation for him at all. The only good news is Jacksonville now gets the most valuable WAG in the draft class — the lovely Lindsey Duke.
Ms. Duke was at the draft with her longtime boyfriend and tweeted this on Thursday:
Best of luck to my bestfriend today @BBortles5 – so happy I've got to enjoy this journey with you #DraftDay pic.twitter.com/H5Nz0Dpa8L

You think she’s excited to see her man as a franchise quarterback and No. 3 overall pick? And you think she’s excited about not having to go too far away from Orlando? You better believe it.
Bad spot for Bortles, though. It’s a bad organization that hasn’t done well drafting offensive talent lately. He’ll be better than Blaine Gabbert because it’s impossible not to be, but I don’t picture this turning out well.
