Cooter was actually a hot offensive coordinator name last year after his offense ranked 7th in points. But with a coaching change, some injuries and trades to key players, the offense took a major step back and ranked just 25th in points and 24th in yards this season. Fans were frustrated with the playcalls all season long, and the Lions agreed that going in a new direction was best.
