Luke Kuechly was emotional while being carted off the field following an injury suffered during the Panthers’ game against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night.
Kuechly helped make a tackle of Tim Hightower on a first down run with around five minutes left in the game. The Panthers linebacker was down on the field immediately and received medical attention.
As he was loaded onto a cart to be taken away, Kuechly was seen with a very emotional look on his face. He appeared to be on the verge of tears:

The Panthers said Kuechly was being evaluated for a concussion. Kuechly missed three games last season because of a concussion — the only games he’s missed during his NFL career.
