Mac Jones has big plans to improve for second NFL season
New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones is serious about getting into better habits ahead of his second NFL season.
Jones had a strong rookie year for the Patriots, but he demonstrated his commitment to improving by pledging to make some big lifestyle changes during his first full offseason as an NFL player.
“I want to be back close to home in New England in the offseason because we obviously have our place there,” Jones said in a video posted to the Patriots’ Twitter account. “Just figuring out ways to be a better quarterback and then do whatever we can to put more points up on the board so we can win more games.”
That is not the only change Jones is making. Earlier in the month, he had told ESPN that he was working with the team nutritionist and trying to cut down on his ice cream habit.
As good as Jones was as a rookie, his performances down the stretch were not quite as good. Perhaps it was a matter of hitting the so-called rookie wall. Regardless, he certainly is saying all the right things when it comes to preparing for his second season in the league.
