New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers is not asking much of the team’s new starting quarterback, whoever it may be.
Nabers was asked Thursday about the future of the Giants’ quarterback position after the team opted to bench Daniel Jones this week. The rookie receiver made it perfectly clear that he does not really care who plays the position as long as they do one simple thing for him.
“I don’t want anything. I just want the ball. As long as you can get me the ball, we’re good,” Nabers said. “As long as we can get me the ball, I should be able to make something happen.”

Malik Nabers is asked about the qualities he wants a QB to have and the future of the position for the Giants:

Tommy DeVito will get the nod at quarterback in Week 12, but few think he nor Drew Lock are the long-term solutions to the team’s issues at the position. The Giants may need to look to the NFL Draft as a result, but Nabers does not appear to be sweating that.
Nabers has been targeted 94 times in eight games, catching 61 of those passes for 607 yards and three touchdowns. Jones certainly tried to get him the ball, but the quarterback’s efforts were just too inconsistent for Nabers to capitalize. If Jones could have found his star rookie with some better throws, he may still have his job.
