Man who shined laser pointer at Tom Brady says he won’t apologize

Tom Brady

The man who shined a laser pointer at Tom Brady’s face during the AFC Championship Game last year admits what he did was wrong, but he said he has no intention of apologizing to the New England Patriots or their six-time Super Bowl champion quarterback.

In an interview with “Inside Edition” this week, 64-year-old Dwyan Morgan admitted he had too much to drink and shined a green laser in Brady’s face numerous times during the game. The Missouri native and avid Kansas City Chiefs fan says he wanted to “maybe distract” Brady.

“I didn’t think it would go this far,” Morgan said. “I shouldn’t have done it.”

Morgan is now facing a misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace, and he could get up to a year in jail or a $1,000 fine if found guilty. He said he regrets the way he embarrassed Chiefs fans, but he simply replied “nope” when asked if he would apologize to Brady and the Patriots.

While the laser in Brady’s face appeared quite obvious at certain points throughout the game, the Patriots still emerged victorious and went on to win the Super Bowl. The future Hall of Famer said he didn’t notice it, and the results reflect that. He probably doesn’t care for an apology from Morgan, anyway.
