Mason Rudolph may have been omniscient when it came to the ending of Sunday night’s Week 18 game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens.
Steelers kicker Chris Boswell had missed an extra point to keep it at 26-24 with under a minute to go. The Ravens got the ball back, got a great kickoff return nearly to midfield, and even converted on a 4th-and-7 to get into field goal range. After Isaiah Likely made his 26-yard catch to get the ball down to the Pittsburgh 24, NBC flashed to Aaron Rodgers on the sideline.
Next to Rodgers was Steelers backup quarterback Mason Rudolph, who appeared to mouth, “he’s gonna miss” ahead of Tyler Loop’s field goal attempt.
Registered this live and wanted to go back to capture it.

After the huge 4th down conversion to Likely, the NBC cameras catch Rodgers in disbelief on replay.
If you look closely, Mason Rudolph says “he’s gonna miss it.”

Of course, we all know how that ended up. Rudolph was proven correct as Loop missed and the Steelers won 26-24 to clinch the AFC North and a playoff game against the Houston Texans.
Rudolph has been a valuable contributor for the Steelers. In addition to predicting a missed kick, he also passed for 310 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions this season.
