Matthew Stafford stuns Seahawks with game-winning TD in overtime
Matthew Stafford called game Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks with an unreal touchdown pass in overtime.
The Seahawks and Stafford’s Los Angeles Rams went into OT at Lumen Field in Seattle, Wash., tied at 20. Seattle got the extra period’s first possession. The Seahawks had 3rd-and-1 at the Rams’ 16-yard line but got stuffed twice to turn it over on downs.
Stafford quickly made the Seahawks pay. He got the Rams to midfield on just two passes for a combined 40 yards. After a four-yard rush from running back Kyren Williams, Los Angeles had 2nd-and-6 at Seattle’s 39. Stafford then uncorked a gorgeous deep ball to wide receiver Demarcus Robinson, who made a stunning one-handed catch in the end zone for a touchdown.

The Rams’ 26-20 victory was the team’s first on the road this season. Stafford went 25/44 for 298 yards on Sunday with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. Robinson tallied 6 receptions for 94 yards and caught both of Stafford’s TD passes.
The Rams may have also benefitted from a controversial penalty earlier in the game. The Seahawks got flagged for a questionable roughing the passer call in the third quarter (video here).
After starting the campaign with a dismal 1-4 record, the Rams have won their last three games to get back to .500.
