Michael Sam and his boyfriend Vito Cammisano got engaged while vacationing in Europe last week, and some have wondered who popped the question. We now have our answer.
On Friday afternoon, Sam shared a photo on Twitter of the moment when he proposed to Cammisano.
“Thank you for saying yes,” Sam wrote.
Sam has been very open about his relationship with Cammisano since the moment he came out, so it’s no surprise he was willing to share the photo with his 200,000-plus Twitter followers. The two kissed on national television after Sam was drafted by the Rams back in May, and the public display of affection became an incredibly hot topic for debate. Sam later brought his better half with him to the ESPYs and thanked him when he received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award.
