Reporters in beef over Nick Foles trade story
Two NFL reporters got in a Twitter beef on Tuesday over the sourcing of a Nick Foles report.
NFL Media’s Mike Silver reported Tuesday that the Cleveland Browns tried to trade the No. 35 pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for quarterback Nick Foles but were turned down. The Browns eventually traded for Tyrod Taylor and drafted Baker Mayfield.
Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio accused Browns head coach Hue Jackson of leaking the story to Silver.
I'm sure that Hue Jackson leaking that the Browns tried to trade for Nick Foles will go over well with his boss.

Silver did not appreciate Florio’s tweet and responded. He also denied that Jackson was a source for his story.
Hey Mike: 1) Don't be a dick; 2) I had three sources, as cited in the story. Hue was not one of them. 3) Attempted source-outing is stupid. 4) If you have something to say to me, text me. Wow. https://t.co/rK429FC2tf

Florio responded by dropping the hammer.
Hey Mike: 1) You're basically Hue's agent; 2) Everyone knows it. https://t.co/cziyQftwIY

This is not the first time Florio has done this. If he thinks a reporter is being manipulated at times, he will say so.
