Myles Garrett looks ready to go already ahead of the new NFL season.
Fitness coach Billy Coffey posted video of himself visiting Garrett at training camp and taking some reps against him. Coffey stood in and took a shoulder from Garrett and promptly went flying.
On his Instagram, Coffey wrote that getting hit by Garrett felt like “being hit by a rhino.”
Garrett was going at something close to full strength here, presumably to demonstrate just how much power he actually has. Clearly, he left the experienced fitness coach quite impressed, and presumably a bit sore.
The Rams acquired Garrett via trade from the Cleveland Browns on June 1, instantly re-establishing themselves as top-tier Super Bowl contenders. Aaron Donald is considering an NFL comeback as well, and this is a good summary of why rival teams are hoping that does not happen. That would be a very difficult combination for even the best and most experienced offensive lines to slow down.
