Report: Nelson Agholor will not be charged with sexual assault
Philadelphia’s district attorney has been investigating allegations of sexual assault involving Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor, but one report says the receiver will not be charged.
Philadelphia police first looked into a claim by a 27-year-old dancer at Cheerleaders Gentlemen’s Club in June and determined no charges were warranted. The city’s DA also has been looking into the case, with one report saying an announcement is expected for Friday.
Though it’s unclear whether anything will be formally announced, the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Les Bowen reports that Agholor will not be charged with sexual assault.
The incident that led to the allegations took place after the Eagles’ concluded minicamp on June 10. Agholor was the Eagles’ first-round pick in 2015 and caught 23 passes for 285 yards and a touchdown last season.
